Jacquie Williams McFetridge

I was born in Wolverhampton with the desire to sing! 

I started my long and still growing career singing in church from an early age. 

My first real gig was performing at the Civic Hall at 14 backed up by a reggae band singing the song I wrote for a school competition, I came second. I joined the band and went on to doing gigs around the Midlands and further a field. 

Branching out to start writing and performing my own material, and doing vocal session work. 

In 1981 I settled in a Jazz Funk band called “Mercury” We were signed and we Released a single called ‘Too Hot’ also won the slot to support Grandmaster Melle Mel. 

In 1993 released dance hit singles I wrote for Olympic records 

‘Release’ “Lie’s” and “Feel the Love” 

Had the honour of performing lead vocals on “Share our love” on K Klass’s   album Universal, plus bv’s on many more 

Wrote and sang single released on Logic Records with top producer Mike Hoglin called “The Spirit” And re released it in 1997. 

1994 Released single I sang on for Cleveland City Blues Records 

In 1997 Performed in the hit musical “Oh What a Night Show” At Opera House Blackpool with Kid Creole, Bernie Nolan And John Altman. 

Toured with Mike Darbo, Brian Poole, Dave Berry and Dave Dee in the UK, Hong Kong and China. 

Sang Backing vocals on tour with M People and Blue. 

Sang the Gladiator theme tune in the 90s 

Modeled for Christian Dior “Look Good Feel Great” for Central TV 

In 2004 I re recorded two old Northern Soul Tracks “Flavour” by (Berry’s Hammond) and “The Whole World Gone 

Crazy” by (John Gary Williams) Recorded on “Real Side Records 

Recorded backing vocals on the album “Blues song” for Robin George. 

In 2005 had a top ten hit with a song call “Stronger On My Own” Which i sang bv’s & co written with a successful Dance Producers Paul Timothy “Soul Central” That was performed by vocalist Kathy Brown. The song became a hit and went to number 6 in the main Charts. 

I joined the very successful band called The “Australian Pink  Floyd Show”. Touring Venue’s like The Albert Hall, NIA, and Many Arena’s in England, America, South America, Canada, Malta, Europe etc, Touring for the last 5 and a half years. 

2006 I co recorded with Richard Derbyshire all the Backing Vocals For the X factor live Tours for 3 years. 

2007 did a short 9 day tour with Micheal Buble in the UK. 

2008 to 2010 recorded all lead vocals on 3 albums for a Spanish writer and musician Francisco Javier . 

2010 sang backing vocals on 3 tracks on the KING KING album “Take my Hand” released 2011 

2011 Touring with “The Brit Pink Floyd Show” in UK, Europe etc. 

  

Respected in the industry for a high degree of professionalism and reliability, I have had the pleasure of working for some of the finest in the business over the years, Recording and live. 

Edwin Starr, Kim Sledge (Sister Sledge) Thelma Houston, Stevie V, Richard Derbyshire, Martin Fry, Ultavox, Robin George, Skin, Freddie Starr Show with The Wall Packers (The Wall Pack Band Emmerdale cast) 

Recorded and sang live with Roy G Hemmings  from the “Drifter” for many years. 

Jacquie has released many singles with some top Recording Companies, Emi, Logic, Sony, Polydor, Epic, MCA, 

Deconstruction and others 

And performed on many t.v shows Top of the Pops, The “Beat” with my band. BPM, MTV Hits 5 Night Stand, Pebble Mill, Capital radio Live, Radio 1 Live, Talking Telephone Numbers etc 

Performed in my own rights at Ronnie Scott’s B’ham Jazz Café. 

Internationally… The Emirate Towers, Dubai,The Burj Al Arab Dubai,The Intercontinental Hotel, Oman Muscat and many more.
